Big Golf Shop In Del Mar
This is a big golf shop in Del Mar. Probably the biggest in the area. They have a wide selection of new clubs; callaway, ping, nike, titlist, and many more along with a big selection of used clubs that seem to be great deals. They have every kind of accessory you could want from gloves, shoes, bags, umbrellas, carts and a huge selection of clothing for men and women. They are right next to a great and my favorite driving range. Knowledgeable, friendly, courteous staff.

Great golf course and value
This is a great golf course and value. I played it last weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the course. It is very well taken care of and quite challenging. Lots of long yard holes and enough hazzards to lose a ball or two (at least for me the average golfer). Small pro shop but very nice staff. The marshall stopped by several times to offer us water which was a first for me. Great course, worth the drive and time to play. Oh, and it was only $25 per person with cart!

Great prepared food, cheap wine
I lived in London for 2 years so was excited when I heard this offshoot of Tesco was coming to the US. I will say that the prepared foods are not as good as Tesco, but they are good enough to want to pick up when you don't feel like cooking. I do applaud that they have pasta with mini meatballs for kids. The pasta is whole wheat and the sauce is made of carrots and other veggies. My daughter loves it and it's really healthy. I haven't quite found my thing there but everything has been good. My husband *shocker* gets the fresh burritos.

Through my website I've had a little interaction with the California wine buyer. Fresh and Easy's wants to specialize in really good wines under $10, which I totally support! So far everything I've picked up there has been pretty good for the price.

This location is not near my house but is kind of near my in laws so we stop here on occasion. I don't think I would make a special trip otherwise.

A Great Alternative to the Zoo
The San Diego Zoo has a lot to see and discover, but it can be quite overwhelming too. A great alternative is to go to the San Diego Wild Animal Park which is north, in Escondido. I feel like it was nice to see a good amount of animals in their natural habitats and environments. The Zoo and the Wild Animal Park really take the animals into consideration and try to educate people while keeping the animals happy and comfortable. The San Diego Wild Animal Park is a more relaxing way to enjoy wildlife and nature. I remember we also went on a safari ride, an open-door truck/van took several of us throughout the safari where we could see gazelle, antelope, giraffes, hippos, rhinos all interacting with each other within a very wide open enclosure. I learned a lot while walking through the park and reading the signs that talked about the animals. I would recommend this park to everyone =)

A Fun Day At the Zoo
The San Diego Zoo is a must see when you are in San Diego. There is just really an abundance of animals and creatures here and there is so much to see! I really recommend taking a tour and taking advantage of the shuttle services within the park or else your feet will fall off from all the walking! Be sure to check out the website to see if there are any special events going on or some featured animals. For example, we went when they re-did the elephant exhibit, and so it was very special to go and see the elephants. We saw the elephants take a bath and we also saw the baby elephants. I really enjoyed taking a stroll through the zoo. Don't forget to bring sunblock and a camera. There are also some places where you are allowed to feed the animals, we got to feed the giraffes, and it was a lot of fun having the giraffe lower his head down and stick out his tongue toward your hand for the treat. There was also a baby giraffe when we went, really cute!

Try the french onion soup
Seriously good food here, although expect to pay a little more for the luxury. The paninis are really special and come in proper delicious flavours, and they have a huuuge menu. My favourite thing about Panera bread is the size of the portions - really generous and filing. Actually I often eat myself into a partial food coma and find it hard to get home afterwards, but that's certainly not a bad thing. I love to sit outside by the NBC building and watch the people go by at Horton Plaza. Something about people watching in Downtown makes me feel happy and content, especially when there's a nice big bunch 'o carbs in my belly.

My first Macchiato
That's right, this place popped my caramel macchiato cherry and it was delicious! I've been hooked ever since. It all started with a simple stroll around San Diego where I met this man at a stop light while waiting to cross the road. We got chatting and he told me some fantastic facts about the area and we ended up getting to this particular coffee house and he invited me in. I told him to buy me something I'd never tried before and this was what he got me. It was blissful, we talked for hours, and two years later and he's a good friend to me and my family of friends. God bless you It's a Grind, you started something special with your espresso blended drinks!

We never get tired of Seaworld!
I love Seaworld! My boyfriend and I got a silver passport in which we pay once and then get to go to Seaworld for as many times in a year. It's really great to go to Seaworld all year around because there are seasonal events that we get to see. For example, they have events for Halloween where they have people dress up in sea creature costumes, and they change the park for Christmas Season. I really enjoy watching all the shows at Seaworld, I'd highly recommend Cirque De La Mer, and Sea Lions Tonight, those are my favorite! I like seeing Shamu and the dolphins as well.

For my boyfriend's birthday, we got to go to Seaworld and we participated in a Penguin Encounter Tour where we got to go behind the scenes and learn more about the creatures and meet a Penguin up close and personal. It was really fun. I think it's important for us to know about the sea creatures and what we can do to protect them.

Awesome Winery Experience
My boyfriend and I were looking for something fun to do in San Diego and we were happily surprised to find that Orfila Winery is not far away from UCSD at all! We have never been wine tasting before, so this was an exciting new experience! We did our research online and on their website you can print out a coupon where you can get a two for the price of one wine tasting! We printed that out and headed over.

Orfila Winery is just 20 minutes north of UCSD, in Escondido, and right next to the Wild Animal Park. It's really easy to get to and you don't need to take any winding mountain roads to get there. There is a free tour at 2pm and we got to see the grape vines and the barrel room and the tour guide also told us about how the wines are made. She was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. It made me appreciate the wines that we got to taste afterward.

The wine tasting with the coupon is really a great deal. Two people for the price of $10 can try six different wines each. If you and someone else go together, you could taste each other's wines as well and taste twelve wines! They were all very good, although I can't really say, because this is the first time I've gone wine tasting. We left with a bottle of the Rose of Syrah. Overall it was a good experience and I'd recommend others to check it out!
