I read the other reviews and picked this place at random....I will never use another locksmith in San Diego. Mike is a straight shooter and does excellent work. I visited him a year ago. Owner was honest and gave me a quote on what a micro-chipped key would cost me at the shop or if I needed to do it with their mobile crew. Seamed pretty honest to me. I plan to go back and have him make copies for me soon.‎

Not recommended - Rip-off and destroy your lock. He acted like he is know what to do then he will tell you that he need to cut the lock with additional charge. If you need a lock he can sell you one. That's BS.

I got a couple keys made for my Lexus here. It was fast, precise and the price was just right. The guy that cut the keys was very knowledgable since they were high security keys. I would definitely go back to Convoy Street Locksmith Shop and would recommend it to others.

I found the owner of this shop unfriendly and impolite! Overall, it was a rather unpleasant encounter, and I would not recommend this locksmith to anyone. However, if you do go there, you might consider letting him know that there is "Google Maps" these days, and a review about his shop could easily be written and would later be viewed by many potential customers.‎
