Overall: We always go to El Indio on our way to or home from the airport. I love the carne asada (any style) and it is a bit spicier than other places I've tried, but still good none the less. I also love buenelos- cinnamon sugar crispy thingys. YUM. Sometimes there is a wait and parking can be a challenge but well worth the taste of San Diego's history.

Value: reasonably priced mexican food. If it was a sit down service then it would be much more.

Service: COunter service. Sit wherever.

Quality: Authentic and nice portions. Salsa bar.
Pros: food and homemade tortillas. The also have tamales.
Cons: none
Value: reasonably priced mexican food. If it was a sit down service then it would be much more.

I've used El Indio's catering services many, many times. I can't comment on delivery because I've always picked up from their location. Their catering menu offers many inexpensive packages that have always been hits at my parties. My absolute favorite is the mini chimichangas and burritos! One bite wonders!

The serving sizes are generous and you could definitely order less food than people! I've made that mistake once - but, hey! Just meant I HAD to eat the left overs. Twist my arm!

The only thing that I would say is a drawback is how responsive they are with inquiries. A little extra effort on follow up is needed on the consumer's part. But, all in all, it is worth it!
Pros: Great value and delicious food!
Cons: Location is a little tough when just picking up on the fly!
Price Range: $1 - $5
