Hansens is an a great, huge surf shop, action sports store really as they have more than just surf gear. They have an enormous if not biggest selection of boards I've ever seen in the North County area. Enormous selection of sports / action clothing and shoes too. Very friendly and nice staff. I love to go this store.

I like Hansen's in that they squeeze a lot of products into their building, but its not disorganized at all. I like the brands they carry and for the most part the staff seems pretty knowledgeable. I go here for mostly apparel. For gear, it seems they carry the same names (and prices) as pretty much every other surf/snowboard shop. I always include Hansens as part of my go-to stores when I'm shopping around for an item.

Dane was very helpful and knew his stuff. I had tried a lot of shops and they had a suit that fit great.

The store manager, Ken, has been here a long time and is always incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bonus: Adventure Ski School is located in the front parking lot (personal snowboard and ski instruction)<br /><br /><b>Value:</b> Pretty good value, though pricey on many items, however that's the norm for quality namebrand surf and ski items, and it competes fairly with similar businesses.<br /><br /><b>Service:</b> Excellent! Staff knows their products and if they don't know about an item, will ask another staffer that does. Ken is the ultimate store manager, with his expertise on all of the products the store carries, and his genuine interest in sending you home with the right products for you.<br /><br /><b>Quality:</b> Excellent. Tired of showing up at a frat party and many of the guys seem to be wearing some version of the same thing? Everyone in the same brand? Yes, this can be a problem for men too. That’s why I love Hansen’s. Their variety allows you to pick clothing to suit your individuality and the variety is big enough that you wont’ be dressed like your neighbor.

Hansen’s is where I come when I need my surf one-stop shopping place. I love their selection of boardshorts, Hawaiian shirts, other clothes and surf gear. They usually have all the sizes in stock and the employees are helpful and friendly.

Hansen’s is on the upper en in terms of prices for surf shops but to me the variety, size, good staff and quality makes it worth it. Really, one-stop surf shopping sums it up.
