Where do I begin with this restaurant? It's fabulous. Island Prime is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group which has about a dozen exceptional restaurants in the San Diego area and one in Maui. (I've eaten there too!)
Island Prime is surf and turf. Steaks, seafood and a very impressive wine list. The service is very good and knowledgeable and the ambiance of the place makes you want to literally move in and never leave. The restaurant is out on a peninsula near the airport. The structure itself is built out on stilts over the bay and for this reason the restaurant and its attached bar, C-Level, boast some of the most impressive water and city sky line views in San Diego!
*Secret* If you are dining on the Island Prime side of the establishment ask the wait staff for the "Deborah Scott's nut encrusted brie" from the bar menu. It's not on the main dining menu but this appetizer is not to missed. It's been made so famous Whole Foods is now carrying it the cheese section!
Pros: View, food, wine, good service, great place to take visiting friends, family or even better for a date.
Cons: Um, none.
Price Range: $1 - $5
