I took my cat to the Kearny Mesa Veterinary Center when we moved to San Diego from Dana Point, CA. My cat has allergies and needed a cortisone shot to help her with the itching. I was so afraid to switch vets at first that I almost drove all the way to Dana Point to have her seen! My old vet suggested looking up the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) website and trying to find a local vet that was listed and that is what I did. I was really impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. The staff was super friendly and I was attended to immediately. They really treated my cat as a patient, and I really felt like they cared. My cat was seen by Avi Shaprut, D.V.M. He was really gentle and really knew what he was talking about. He ultimately explained to me that we could put my cat on anti-histamines that would be gentler on her system than the cortisone shot. That is what we did and she has been doing well with the anti-histamines! Because of the wonderful service and care, and the welcoming environment, I have definitely adopted this facility for my cat.
