I must give this repair shop great reviews. MacDonald Sports and Import Service in North Pacific Beach off of Turquoise street is honest, informative knowledgeable and friendly. NOT to mention they just saved me from making a big mistake. <br /> <br /> I am in the market for a older classic Mercedes and I was recommended to MacDonald Sport and Import Service by a personal friend of mine who happens to also be a mechanic himself. I made some calls to MacDonald and spoke with Dick and Brenda (two great employees) at depth during my research on a specific model Mercedes They were more than happy to answer all my questions and more. They were patient with my inquiries and offered me real and honest opinions and I had yet to even spend a dollar with them! <br /> <br /> After several conversations with the staff at MacDonald I happened to locate a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. I scheduled a pre-purchase inspection at the shop which lasted a total of around 4 hours. They looked over every inch of that car. Brenda ran me through the list of needed repairs and my jaw dropped. The owner of the vehicle told me that the vehicle was in perfect working order, and it appeared to be the case. In contrast, the pre-purchase inspection showed the exact opposite. The inspection revealed $6,500 worth of work and repairs that would be needed. -- they discovered evidence of a previous major accident and the that the entire car had been repainted from it's original color amongst other serious mechanical problems. MacDonald saved me time, stress, heartache and most importantly money. They really saved the day and without a doubt I will be a return customer. I recommend them to everyone. Good people!
