Moga is a japanese salon in Clairemont. My wife used to come here to be styled. They have a lot of magazines laying around so you can choose which hairstyle you like. It can be difficult to communicate sometimes since the staff is Japanese but they did a great job copying the hairstyle from the picture.

Before this salon, I used to go to Korean salons, and 90% of the entire time, I came out with a big disappointment. Even its cut for 20-25 bucks ripped me off. However, this salon is the first place that I came out with a satisfaction. My Japanese stylist knew what she was doing, and certainly cared about my hair. For men, a cut costs 30 dollars, relatively more expensive than Korean salons, but it is worth! I got a nice, relaxing massage too!

I found this salon from other reviews because I was having a hard time finding a place that wasn't overpriced and did a professional job. They do an excellent job and have great customer service even if I go in for a trim. I think they do a really good job cutting asian hair, not choppy or blunt.

I love getting my hair done at Moga Salon. Setsuko is the girl I always go to and I love how she does my hair. They even massage your head as they shampoo it and massage your head, neck, and shoulders after your cut is complete. It feels great! The staff is always very friendly and the cuts always come out looking exactly how I want it to. I would highly recommend this salon to another salon seeker.

I am one of the few non-Asian customers, but I love the modern styles they specialize in. A haircut is about $40, but worth it because it lasts a long time. The owner has been cutting hair for more than twenty years and is very personable. To top it all off, you get a head and neck massage at the end of the appointment. The accents are a bit strong, but that wouldn't dissuade me.
