Their wings are great. I love their burgers on pretzel buns. After walking around the shore we always go there to get something to eat and have sone cold beer.

Great food and atmosphere. We ate right by the open window next to the sidewalk. Calamari was tasty as was the soup and salad. Pastas are available gluten-free and it's not the kind that tastes like crap.Overall, great experience. I had the jambalaya and my wife had shrimp and pesto pasta. Service was good and the staff seemed pretty attentive. Prices are very reasonable.

You can always get a great meal at the Spot in La Jolla. The fact that they are open late is a plus too!

Firstly, this restaurant has been here FOREVER! It's one of the only casual places in downtown La Jolla and the food is perfect. My favorite is the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. The thin crust BBQ Chicken pizza is great too! Sure, there is one or two really good places to get Chicago style pizza in San Diego, but The Spot tops them all.

My second favorite is the Build-Your-Own Burger section. The Lamb Burger is a thing of delicious beauty. They have 1/3 pound and 1/2 pound beef too if you're looking for something more traditional and they have sweet potato fries too. Yum!

They have started to work on their draft beer list and it's becoming quite good. It has a couple of really tasty choices in the local craft beer category and some common staples for those who are less adventurous.

In all, The Spot is a place I can take a date or my mom and still be able to impress both. It's family-style with a old-school flare. The prices are completely reasonable and I almost never spend over $20 on myself including beers. A definite recommendation.
