This is the best place for yogury in san diego. The locals know this. The line extends out into the parking lot and sometimes the wait for the food is around thirty minutes. They have ginormous portions and can "drop" your yogurt into a larger container that allows you to get almost double the normal portion for a little more money. They have a big variety of flavors and you can sample as many as you want. My personal favorite is the chocolate and vanilla side by side combo. They have plenty of toppings to choose from if you need them, but the yogurt stands alone and the line grows longer as you read this.
So yummy. They have new flavors daily. Portions are generous. A child's size is like a large at other shops. I usually get a small and my two kids and I share. Highly recommended.
Overall: The Yogurt Mill is an East San Diego County classic. It is easily recognized by the unique building you see as you're driving down Broadway. At one time, the building was a pizza parlor called the "Leaning Tower of Pizza" but for over 28 years now it has been serving huge portions of creamy frozen yogurt goodness.

Value: You can't get a better value anywhere for the amount of frozen yogurt you get. Even the "child" and "junior" sizes are more than enough to fill an adult. They even layer the toppings throughout the yogurt so you definitely get your moneys worth.

Service: The employees are mainly high school and college age kids. They are nice and work quickly so if you likes the service make sure you help them fill their tip jars!

Quality: The yogurt is delicious! While they have the usual chocolate and vanilla every day, they cycle the many other flavors. The extra flavors range from classic to exotic and you can always choose more than one flavor in your cup. My personal favorite is the peanut butter. They also have a ton of options for toppings. They have nuts, fruit, and candy. If all the other sizes are just too big for you, there is an option not on the menu called the "baby cup". It is a smaller cup that is only filled to the top, rather than piled on top. It also comes with a topping and is a dollar less in price. Another thing to remember is that it is better if you ask for your order "dropped" for only 10 cents. They will put your order in a larger cup so you get more yogurt and it won't be spilling over and making a mess.
Pros: They always have sugar-free selections and lactose free selections available, and all options are lowfat. They are easy to get to, always have coupons available, honor competitors' coupons, are open late, and just have great yogurt for low prices.
Cons: Perhaps the biggest inconvenience of Yogurt Mill is the long line. It often reaches around the building during the summer and weekends, though fortunately it moves fairly quickly. The parking lot can be difficult to get around in. The biggest thing to remember though is that they accept CASH ONLY.
