I love going to places like this one because I know I can indulge in eating as much ice cream there as I want and it is not that bad for me because most of the flavors are fat free and all of them at the very least are low fat. In comparison to Baskin Robins which are all over the place and make a lot of profit, you probably will end up paying less here since you control how much ice cream you want (its self serve) and you do not pay by the scoop, which is much more expensive. Of course the flavors do not taste the same but this place has a wide variety and did I mention it does not have fat in more than half of their flavors!

I like their sour yogurt varieties.

Yogurt World was around before the increasingly popular phenomenon that is Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt. You walk in, browse the flavors, select your toppings and make your own creation. The set-up for most of these frozen-yogurt shops is all pretty much all the same; but what comes out of the machines is subject to the quality of the frozen-yogurt manufacturer. Yogurt World has ensured a way to provide not only the freshest yogurt, but also flavors you won’t be able to get anywhere but here!

Yogurt World has been doing things the same way since their grand opening in 2007. They are affiliated with a dairy farm just north of San Diego that is contracted to make custom flavors unique to Yogurt World. Mike, the owner, supplies the recipe to the dairy farm, which carries out the order. The result is mouth-watering flavors like Green Coconut and Asian tart that you cannot get anywhere else.

I tried the green coconut with fresh mango slices mixed in with the frozen-yogurt. I was a bit skeptical because I thought green coconuts weren’t ripe yet but I was made a believer when I caught myself licking the bowl.

I really like Yogurt world because they have the tart flavors that I especially enjoy. However, I believe that the place could be kept a little cleaner. If you go at the end of the day, the floor gets kind of sticky with dripped yogurt and the area around the yogurt machines are also sticky. There always seems to be just one person behind the counter, sitting sort of lazily, ringing customer's yogurts up. This person is not super friendly or anything and I wonder if they are enthusiastic about their job. The furniture here seems kind of cheap and it's fine for just sitting really quickly and eating your yogurt. Sometimes, there are not enough spaces for everyone to enjoy their yogurt, so people leave. This place could be kept nicer and more comfortable. Nevertheless, I enjoy the tart yogurts!
