Great value & selection!
I had a hard time finding a new home office desk. I looked online and in various local home office furniture stores. IKEA was the only place that had anything close to what I was looking for. I love the modular desks that give you flexibility to fit your needs. The value and service are unmatched but don't expect much in the way of service.

Thomasville Furniture
Thomasville Furniture is a very nice furniture store but it is on the pricey side. Their furniture is very high quality but the pricing goes right with it. The service is really great and helpful and I have bought furniture here that I could not find anywhere else. This is the kind of furniture that when you buy it, it lasts forever and can be passed on from one generation to the next.

Great store but a little limited in selection
This is a great store. I bought some hard to find bedding from there a few years ago. The staff is super friendly but things were um... very expensive. But that is expected as this store is in the heart of La Jolla village and the quality of furniture is very high. The styles are really hip and modern. Clean minimalistic lines and cool all around. I'd recommend stopping in if your in need of home decor or furniture.

I love this store!
I love Ikea! If you have never been to Ikea, your first visit might be a little overwhelming because they seriously have EVERYTHING there! I can spend hours there just looking around. The prices range from super affordable to affordable. I would definitely recommend going during 'off' hours though because the crowds can get crazy.

Lefty's Barbershop Rocks
Lefty's Barbershop Rocks. I have been getting fancy salon style haircuts for years that cost $50-$60 dollars. When I decided to tighten my belt and save money I asked some friends for a barber shop recommendation. Three of my friends recommended Lefty's so I had to give it a shot. It's definitely not a fancy salon. It's a guys place with guys only. It's a small shop on busy Garnet but it's very cool. Most importantly, I got a fantastic hair cut at a great price. I was out the door for $20. The haircut cost $16 but I tipped well because I will be going back. Ask for Jason.
