The Best.
I always look forward to doing my grocery shopping now thanks to Henry's. This is the best place to find great, organic products on a budget.
Whereas Whole Foods is crowded, impossible to find parking, and UNREASONABLY EXPENSIVE, Henry's has a really mellow and inviting shopping atmosphere, and is wonderfully low priced.
The bulk bins are one of many gems in this store, and you can get a surplus of food, coffee, raw materials, and baking products in the portions you need for a low price.
I love shopping here because I know I am getting quality food and products for less than what I would normally pay for processed, altered foods. Highly recommended for those who are looking to eat organic on a budget!

Carpe Coffee
Cafe Carpe Diem is a fantastic turkish (?) coffee store with some of the best coffee I've had in San Diego. They also serve breakfast and lunch which never disappoints. Carpe Diem is tucked back in Hillcrest away from busy University avenue, and has a very pleasant indoor and outdoor atmosphere.
While their service can be a bit slow at times, it is a pleasant wait as the shop is hip, interesting, and full of good people watching and captivating artistry.
The other small drawback is that it is slightly pricey - however the quality of what they serve definitely shows, so it does seem justifiable. A great place to start the morning!
